Momma Turtle

I picked Kaia up from daycare today and she seemed odd. We got home and she just hid in her room. I just finished making dinner for me and Kaia, so I call her out of her room. She sits down at the table all Kaia like waiting patiently. All the sudden Kaia pushes her plate away and starts putting her fists in the air yelling I want BRAINS, not your stupid dinner! She ran around the house for a while chasing the cat. She couldn't reach the turtle as the tank is bigger than she is. Kaia finally gave up and started gnawing on my new skeleton model trying to break the skull bone to get into the brains. Luckily, for me I told her that school fried my brain and it's not any good. Sadly, it wasn't until she had already tried. I guess the blood loss isn't helping my head ache. I hope that squirrel comes back that keeps eating my garden. He has some nice Kaia size brains! I wonder if I can teach her that she has to ask for brains before just going after them. :)

Yesterday I was listening to different ring tones online. I sampled one from Nightmare Before Christmas, the This is Halloween song. Kaia comes running in saying thats from the Halloween movie. Next thing, she comes back to me with the movie in her hand begging me to watch it. This makes me a proud mama.

On this day, 3 years ago Kaia was born. I have been finally going back and utilizing the tag feature. TMI, The birth story.
Every year, I tell Kaia the story of the day she was born. Today, she asked me to tell her again. She smiled and kept saying that she used to be in my belly. Many many tears of joy have been shed today.
